Hello,
I have a unique perspective of the media industry because of my award-winning experiences in both the newspaper and public relations industries.
During my six-year career as a journalist, I wrote thousands of articles, covering a wide-range of subjects, including law enforcement, politics and human interest. My responsibilities encompassed writing for the print publication and developing multimedia content for the newspaper's Web site. I also filed online video news reports to accompany the written story. Later, as a mobile journalist, I produced audio slideshows that I conceptualized and executed.
As a public relations professional, I led accounts for which I helped secure millions of impressions in both trade and consumer media outlets for my diverse clients, which have included an international software company, a top tier food packaging company and national consumer brands. In addition to writing and pitching news releases, I track trends in a number of industries, keep on top of the changing media landscape and develop and present marketing communications plans.
In my personal time, I am the editor of Railfanning.org, a Web site dedicated to my hobby of trains. I manage all content and develop new features, including still photographs, podcasts and a video blog.
I look forward to speaking with you.
Best regards,
Todd DeFeo
